Google Maps always worked in my old cars, but I can't hear the directions in this one.

Weirdly, I can hear phone calls just fine. What's wrong??

Make sure your phone's volume is up and that it's properly connected to the car via Bluetooth. Also, check in Google Maps that it's set to play directions through Bluetooth. If you're still having trouble, try restarting both your phone and the car's system.

Your Kia Niro’s Bluetooth might be set to prioritize call audio, so check the media volume settings, and make sure Google Maps is allowed to play through the car speakers.

Any update? Have you checked if the navigation audio is set to play through a different output, like your phone’s speaker instead of the car’s audio system?

Also, give the car’s sound settings a quick once-over. Sometimes the voice prompts are on a totally different volume level than the regular sound. If that’s all set, try disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth, or even giving the infotainment system a reset.

No Google Maps audio, but calls work? Weird! I've been wondering about that myself. Check audio settings, try a Bluetooth reset, and update Google Maps.

Since calls work, it's probably not a general car audio issue. I've been wondering if it's the app itself. Maybe try uninstallng and reinstalling Google Maps on your phone. Sometimes that clears out corrupted files or settings that can cause these kinds of problems. I've learnd that a fresh install can work wonders
