I just got a 2020 Kia Hybrid 2 with 18k miles, and I have the Kia warranty until Nov 2027. Should I get third-party coverage for the infotainment system, or is it reliable? One more thing, does anyone use third-party alloy wheel insurance? Any companies you'd recommend? Thanks.

I wouldn't bother with a warranty for the media system – seems pointless to me. Though I'm sure some insurance company would happily take your money for it. And alloy wheel insurance? Same thing. I'd rather just save the money that those policies cost.

Thanks, that’s kind of what I was thinking. I’d rather save the money too and deal with any issues as they arise.

Nice Kia Hybrid! Great that it's still under warranty. For the infotainment, it's probably fine, but I'd wait on extra coverage since you're already covered. See how it goes. Wheel insurance is your call. Think about how often you might scratch your wheels, get some quotes, and see if it's worth it. If you decide to get it, shop around and check reviews. Good luck with your new car!
