Niro EV Headlight Upgrade Better Night Visibility?

I’ve been finding the standard single projector headlights on my Niro EV a bit underwhelming, especially during night drives. They don’t provide as much visibility as I’d like, and I’m considering upgrading them.

Has anyone here successfully upgraded their headlights? Any specific products or solutions you’d recommend? LED, HID, or other options? Also, curious about installation, did you do it yourself or go through a professional?

I gave LEDs a try, and while they were brighter, the beam pattern was way off from what’s needed, so I ended up removing them. After quite a bit of trouble with the Can Bus, I finally got 55w 6000k HIDs to work, and they’re excellent.

Someone here had trouble with the lights as well. See if HIDs or LEDs work better for you.

If you really want it done right, you'd need the entire LED headlight setup, but they're not cheap.

I’m leaning toward LEDs because they’re easier to install. If you go the HID route, definitely check if you need a relay harness to avoid electrical issues.
