Hi everyone! I am taking my 72-plate E-Niro in for its 30k-mile service, but the cost seems way too high. The problem is that doesn't clarify what this service is all about.
Last time, the checklist still mentioned oil changes. Dealers say they will drain and check the battery, but I doubt they actually do. Does anyone know what they really check? Thanks!

Ah, the mysterious 30k-mile service checklist strikes again! No oil changes for your E-Niro, but they’ll likely check the battery, brakes, tires, and fluids. They say they’ll "drain and check" the battery, but you’re right to be skeptical, might be more of a "glance and hope for the best" situation. Always good to ask for the full details before handing over the keys

I’d definitely ask them for a breakdown of what’s included in that service cost. It’s usually just standard checks and maybe a tire rotation, but you want to make sure you're not paying for stuff you don’t need. Also, if you're still under warranty, it’s worth checking if any of the work is covered.

Since the mileage is still very low, you could simply choose what is really necessary. You can also observe what theyre doing. You have control over your car since its yours.
