So I’m about to scoop up an EV charger for my Niro and could really use some of your expert advice. I’ve got a 14-30R outlet that’s good for 30 amps, and I’m eyeing a charger that’s rated for 25 amps. My worry is whether it’s cool to use this 25-amp charger on the 30-amp outlet without blowing a fuse or something. Or should I just bite the bullet and fork out the cash for a new 40-amp outlet? Any advice?

Do you have an EVSE? If so, you can change the current. If your main panel breaker is 30 amps, using 24 amps should be okay. If you're using an extension cord, make sure it's rated for the distance from the outlet to the charging station.
