Since we're replacing the rear camera after my daughter's accident last week, will it need to be recalibrated?

If you are, it’ll be part of the job. But since the rearview is just a basic camera, I’d think it doesn’t.

From what I've read online, the cameras are supposed to automatically calibrate while you're driving, and you shouldn't need to manually recalibrate unless you replace the windshield. However, I've noticed that sometimes the car's driver-assist features act a little wonky, so I run a recalibration then. For example, my son's car was consistently drifting to one side, and a recalibration fixed it.
