Is there a “dog mode” for the Kia Niro EV?

We got our new dog yesterday and now I’m trying to figure out if I can lock the car but keep the AC on for him (like a dog mode, yknow?). I’m pretty sure it’s doable, but I can’t seem to figure it out. Will it still let me lock it with the remote if the AC’s on? Any idea?

Activate utility mode and lock all doors using the power lock button. Exit through the driver's door, remove the physical key from the remote, and manually lock the driver's door using the key.

I think that 'Camping Mode' might be able to do this. But honestly, I wouldn't risk it. There are way too many people who would see an opportunity to break into a car if they thought someone was inside.

I'd just crack a few windows open instead. I know it's not the most energy-efficient thing for the AC, but it's definitely cheaper than replacing broken windows.

I'm so glad I finally got Dog Mode working! It was a real headache. I had to reset the modem in the car, and I couldn't have done it without UVO support. What a process!

Was there a specific issue with the modem you had to reset, or was it just a general troubleshooting process?

You can either switch to utility mode or leave the car on. To secure it, roll down the driver’s side window, step out with the key fob, and lock the car from the button on the door. Then, quickly roll the window up and get your hand out. Utility mode adds an extra layer of security by preventing the chance of someone driving the car away while you’re gone, but it’s really up to what you’re comfortable with.
