Niro EV Dial Gear Shift

just bought my first ever Niro EV and am already facing a problem (lol still a newbie i'm sorry). Today, when I tried to back up, I was unable to shift the dial shifter from R to D. After turning off and on, I was able to shift successfully.

I'd like to avoid going to the dealership, so I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue or knows how to address it.

Before you hit the road, give the brake a quick press and then power up the car if you’ve been messing with the climate control.

No worries, we’ve all been there with new tech, EVs definitely have a learning curve! That dial shifter can be tricky. Maybe it was just a software glitch? Have you checked if there’s a lockout feature that prevents shifting when the brake isn’t fully pressed?
