Hey folks! I’m new to EV and I just got a used 2023 Niro EV a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know if this car supports plug n charge? I saw a vid on yt about other EVs do it but I can't find any info on the Niro. Anyone know if it's possible?

Hey, I've got a 2022 Niro EV. Our dryer outlet is only for the dryer, nothing else. The charger that came with the car was basically useless – it would take forever to charge.

So, I got this adapter from Amazon that plugs into the dryer outlet. It wasn't the fastest, but it got the job done. But here's the thing: you can ONLY use that outlet for the car. No splitters, no running the dryer at the same time.

And seriously, don't cheap out on the adapter. Get a good quality one, otherwise, it could be dangerous.

We ended up getting a proper home charger installed, which is much better. Now I just keep the old adapter and the original charger in the car for when I visit someone with that type of outlet.
