My Niro Hybrid suddenly displayed the message "Check Hybrid System. Turn off engine." I also couldn't accelerate, even when pressing the accelerator pedal.
That sounds like a potentially serious hybrid battery problem. Hybrid batteries shouldn't be fully depleted, so this is definitely concerning. You should contact your dealer immediately to get it checked out.
