How did you figure out how much the battery had degraded? Was it done using OBD data, a special test, or the car's own guess?I looked at a 2021 Kia e-Niro with 30,000 km, and the battery's already at 85%. Seller thinks I’ll get a new one if it drops below 70% in 3 years. Anyone have experience with battery degradation curves on these?
Thanks for sharing, I’m curious about long-term degradation trends, though if the range drops significantly, I hope Kia will offer a solution or replacement. My friend got his 2019 Niro EV in May 2020, but it was made back in August 2019. He doesn't think he's lost much range since he bought it.
It's tough to tell for sure though, because the car's range estimate isn't always accurate. It changes based on how you drive, the weather, and other things you might not even realize.
