Camera cover

I'm driving a 2023 Niro EV, and in rainy or foggy conditions, the backup camera often gets covered in water drops or fog, making it hard to see clearly. I’ve tried wiping the lens with my thumb before driving, but I keep forgetting and I'm starting to get frustrated. I think a cover over the camera might help, but I haven’t figured out a solution yet. Has anyone else found a fix for this?

I came across a discussion where someone mentioned using a small strip of black electrical tape above the camera to act as a makeshift cover and it seemed to help. I’m thinking of trying it out myself.

I just keep a cloth to wipe off the camera....

Every time I walk past the back, I have to do the thumb wipe as well, and honestly, it’s starting to feel like a real inconvenience.
