Car Won't Charge Unless Locked?

So something kinda weird happened last night. I had my car all plugged in and set to charge during off-peak hours, but it didn’t charge at all. Then, magically, it worked just fine the next night after I locked the car. Do you think it needs to be locked to charge properly? Or is this just a weird glitch? Anyone else run into this?
