Question... I fanyone has done this. I need to get an extra key fob for my Kia Niro EV. Does anyone know the cheapest way to do this? Should I go through the dealership, or are there other options? Any tips on where to find a good deal or how much it usually costs to get it programmed would be great! Thank you.

I needed an extra key fob for my Niro EV and opted to get one through the dealership. While it was pricier than I expected, it was hassle-free, and they programmed it on the spot. I did check online prices first, but the compatibility and programming seemed like a bigger risk, so I stuck with the dealership. It ended up costing me around $250 in total, but at least I didn't have to worry about anything not working properly afterward.

Have you tried getting quotes from other places, like an auto locksmith or another dealership? You might also be able to program it yourself. Check the owner's manual for instructions.
