Climate Control Problem

Hey, my mom’s Kia Niro EV is acting weird. She used the Kia Connect App to start the Climate Control like she usually does since it’s so hot, but today the car wouldn’t move at all. She couldn’t switch into Drive or Reverse. So, she had my dad pop the frunk and disconnect the battery. When the frunk opened, the AC stopped and the car started working fine again. Anyone had this happen before? Any clue what’s up?

I've had this issue. All I did was simply disconnected the battery, reconnected it, and the problem was solved. I haven't had any trouble since.

I know the feeling! We only connected the climate control to the app last week when my wife went back to work and started using the remote start feature.

When you can't start it, do you see the "key" icon in the bottom left corner of the dashboard?

When you say "won't fully start," does it mean the car starts, but you can only select Neutral (N) or Park (P) and not Reverse (R) or Drive (D)?
