Got slapped with a $$$ windshield bill

So I had to replace my windshield after a rock chip basically took over the whole thing. Ended up dropping almost $1500 for the whole stuff - aftermarket glass, labor, calibration, all of it. Yikes!
Anyone else had to cough up crazy money for windshield replacement? Feels like they’re just getting more and more ridiculous every time!

I had to replace my windshield last year after a massive crack spread overnight. Mine was about $1,300 with OEM glass, calibration, and labor. The calibration cost alone shocked me, it’s wild how expensive windshields ar now with all the tech in them..

that’s brutal! Windshields on modern cars are crazy expensive now because of all the sensors. Did you look into getting it through insurance? Some policies cover full glass replacement with no deductible, it saved me once when a rock hit mine.
