Niro trim 2 charging lock

I had moment of panic I called my best bud for help coz I noticed my Niro Trim 2 seems to lack a charging lock, which isn't ideal!

Turns out there are two separate menus! The charging lock is controlled through the menu behind the steering wheel, not the main EV menu in the infotainment system. Definitely a case of needing to RTFM (Read The Freaking Manual), but the instructions weren't super clear. Thanks to the dealer for pointing it out!

I had a similar experience with my Niro when I couldn’t figure out why my charging settings weren’t working. Glad your dealer was able to clarify, it’s definitely one of those “hidden menu” features that could be explained better in the manual.

It’s a good tip to always double-check both menus. I’ve started going through every setting when I get a new car, but even then, some things are easy to miss! Thanks for sharing this, I’m sure it’ll help others avoid the same stress.
